Apart from being an excellent performer, recording artist, songwriter & singer, Parissa has an innate ability for teaching. Her hallmark generosity onstage extends to her students. She has taught at Universities, Conservatorium's & high schools and is a full member of ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing), receiving regular professional development.
In 2021 Parissa completed both Level 1, Somatic Voicework TM training with the highly acclaimed teacher, Jeannie LoVetri, in the NYC and a Diploma in Music Production at SAE Byron Bay, with High Distinctions. She is now regularly recording her singing students.
Her many songwriting awards, makes Parissa an excellent vocal coach for the budding songwriter, as she can help with all aspects of song development and music production
Parissa's extensive choir leader experience can also help people if they want to learn to sing harmonies.
Parissa is registered for the Creative Kids Voucher.

Parissa holds a Bachelor of Arts (Contemporary Music) SCU, Voice Major. She was awarded the Casino Centenary Award for Best Academic Performance
In 2021 she completed both a Diploma in Music Production at SAE Byron Bay, with High Distinctions and Level 1, Somatic Voicework TM training with the highly acclaimed Jeannie LoVetri in the USA
She has completed a VETAB Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor program thru NRCAC & ACE, Lismore, NSW
Past lecturer SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY (10 years) and NORTHERN RIVERS CONSERVATORIUM (5 years).
Parissa is a full member of the prestigious Australian National Teachers of Singing Association (ANATS) and attends regular professional development workshops throughout the year.
Parissa has been leading local & festival choirs and singing workshops, since 1995 and is a very experienced voice coach, having lectured in Contemporary Voice at Southern Cross University 1996 -2007 and Northern Rivers Conservatorium from 1995 -2000 & 2012. For 10 years Parissa was part of the HSC Music Camp weekend program for North Coast Music Teachers Association, specialising in Vocal Performance Masterclasses.
Parissa is a CCM, Contemporary, singing coach. Her forte is improving vocal performance, microphone technique and communication skills, whilst maintaining ‘safe voicing’ and her latest focus has been on developing Performance Confidence strategies.
Parissa maintains a vibrant private teaching studio, where she teaches students from 8 – 80 years of age.
Lessons can help develop registers, range, pitch, agility, volume, expression, harmony and aural skills, tone, phrasing and confidence. She can teach Chest, Head and Mix voice and has success with both male and female students. A large suite of backing tracks are on hand.
Parissa has toured the world, performing at top venues and festivals with The Hottentots, with whom she has recorded 6 multi award winning albums, the last 2 released by famous German audiofile label, Stockfisch Records. Her debut solo CD won Dolphin Music Awards for Song of the Year, Best Jazz, and Best World Music in both 2012 & 2013. Parissa’s extensive recording experience can really help budding recording artists and song writers.
Parissa currently sings with her own band the World Citizens, with The Palm Wine Ambassadors, with World/ Folk act The Hottentots, with guitarist James Ross and top Sydney musicians.
IN CLASS - STUDENT RECORDINGS
One of my great joys is to hear my students voices, and see their confidence, blossom before my eyes.
I am so happy to now be offering full recording facilities as part of regular class activities. Once a student feels confident with a song that they have spent months mastering, I offer to record them. This not only helps them to overcome performance anxiety, to hear how good they really sound, and to demystify the recording studio process, but the results can be shared with family and friends or used as a demo to get gigs.
