Sean Mackenzie Quintet featuring Parissa Bouas

Doo Bop Jazz Bar, 101 Edward St, Brisbane

Buckle up while Sean Mackenzie takes you on a worldwide journey through the music of Brazil, Latin Americas, Africa, Asia and the European Gypsies. This eccentric and unique composer, producer, pianist and percussionist, has been described by premier Australian music critic John Shand as a “master storyteller” and is one of Australia’s exceptional musicians.

Performing at Doo-Bop for the first time, Sean’s trio will be joined by the dynamic Parissa Bouas (and her powerful Carmen Miranda, Billy Holiday esque voice) to deliver a truly satisfying night of original Afro-Brazilian infused jazz pieces, indigenous sounds and outstanding keys.
